Who owns the website once the process is complete? Who has the rights?
Once the website project is complete, with both the designs and the fully-functional website approved by you, it is fully-owned by you once all invoices have been paid in full*, as quoted in your project proposal. For projects with regularly payments scheduled for a period of 3 months or more, projects may be complete before payment is made in full. In such instances, the complete website may or will likely be launched so that you are able to proceed with your continued marketing efforts. However, the website will not be fully-owned by you until payment is complete in full. *Paid in full meaning the project quote, excluding any fees proposed for website hosting and maintenance by Particular Agency.
What is the process of website transfer once it’s ready?
Once the website is ready for deployment, we begin the transfer process by first backing up your current site (if applicable). We then upload the new site files to your hosting server, configure any necessary settings, and perform final tests to ensure everything is working as expected. Once everything is confirmed, the new site goes live. We provide you with all credentials and a guide to navigate through your new website.
Are SEO Services included in the web design package?
Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) services can be included in all website projects but are not included as standard. For Particular clients seeking SEO additions to the project, they should mention this to a member of the Products team during Discovery Calls or other communication with them. This can be over the phone or by email.
How many revisions do I get when Particular are building and designing my website?
5 revisions are offered per website project as standard - with 3 during the design phase of the project and the remaining 2 during the development phase.The number of revisions, 5, has been selected through our analysis of our experience developing creative projects with clients. Data suggests that 5 is sufficient for our clients’ ideas to be effectively understood and then designed & built, before undergoing our clients’ final scrutiny that completes the project to the specified scope.
How long will it take to complete my website project?
The duration of your website project will vary based on its scope. Project duration typically starts at 3 weeks for the smallest scale projects and can range up to several months for extensive, experience intensive web platforms and apps. We aim to complete most projects within a 4-8 weeks timeline.
What will the revision meetings be like during my project?
You will have three design revisions dedicated to the site's design creation. Prior to the meeting, we'll need your feedback on the Figma file. Please be concise, clear, and timely with your feedback. Once you've provided feedback directly onto the file, your account manager will schedule in your next meeting.This meeting is your opportunity to discuss and build upon any ideas you may have, get questions answered, or ensure your feedback has been properly communicated, especially if it was fairly vague on the Figma file. This process will be repeated in the subsequent two development meetings.
Who do I contact with at the company about my project once it has started?
Once the project has commenced, your designated Account Manager will be your primary point of contact at Particular Agency for most matters. As a part of your onboarding, you will be given their contact email and contact number. Queries with your Account Manager will typically take up to 24 hours for responses via email.
Is there anyone else I can get a hold of if my main account manager is not available at the time I need some assistance?
Please give your designated Account Manager at least 24 hours to get back to you on all queries. If you haven't heard back, please follow up at info@byparticular.com. If, for some reason, you still haven't heard back, you should call our main number at 0208 068 2102.
How does payment work? Do I have to pay all at once?
Payment is never expected in full upfront for any Particular Agency projects, though our clients can receive up to a 10% discount on their project fee by paying upfront. We have two broad sets of payment terms for our Digital & Creative projects: Simple Launch Projects - Under £4,000. Unless otherwise agreed or stipulated, our standard invoicing terms are 50% upfront as a non-refundable deposit invoice to be paid before work commences upon accepting instructions. The next 25% will be due upon mutual confirmation of the design process’ completion. The final 25% will be invoiced upon delivery of your developed website. Extended Launch Projects - Over £4,000. For projects at or above £4,000 in value, payment can be made over an extended period of 3-6 months depending on the project's scope. For such projects, the payment schedule will continue on a monthly recurring basis until the project is paid for in full, with payments scheduled for the same date in the month as the date of the initial deposit payment. For projects where deposits are paid on the 30th or the 31st with months in their project schedule that do not have the same corresponding date of the month in their schedule, the client is requested to make payment on the final date of the month.
What is your website quality assurance process?
Our quality assurance process involves multiple stages including design review, code review, functionality testing, cross-browser and device compatibility testing, and performance optimization checks. We ensure that every website we deliver is up to our standard of excellence.
How often will I be updated about my project?
At the start, you'll set your communication preference. Our usual scheduled update is once a week. Of course, within this, you may be communicating with your account manager on an ongoing basis.
What environment do you use when you develop your websites (e.g. Github)?
We utilize a version control system like GitHub for tracking changes in the website's codebase. This ensures that multiple developers can work on the site simultaneously without conflicts, and it allows us to maintain a history of all changes. In addition, we use local development environments to build and test the site before pushing to staging or live servers. Please note this is for custom code
Will I be able to speak to my web designer directly?
We will usually schedule them in to attend your first and third revision meetings. This gives you a chance to express directly to the person developing your vision creatively.
Do you offer post-launch support?
Yes, we offer post-launch support packages to ensure your website continues to run smoothly. This includes periodic updates, security patches, and troubleshooting any issues that may arise.
Will you host my website once it’s done?
We leave this choice open to our clients. For Particular Agency customers, where may likely have designed and built the website in full, it is a natural progression for us to host and manage the website once complete. You can learn the full details through our Maintenance & Hosting Guide. However, this is not a compulsory action. We prefer for our clients to have the choice so that hosting with us may be a willing action, rather than a term of engagement. The extra freedom of movement can help businesses, smaller ones especially, with their next moves - we respect this entirely.
If I ‘break’ my website post-launch, is it within my rights to have it resolved by you without charge?
We always strive to ensure our clients are satisfied. If there's an issue resulting from our work, we'll fix it at no additional cost. However, if changes were made post-launch without our guidance and caused the issue, there might be a fee involved for the resolution.
Does Web Maintenance include cookie compliance updates?
Yes, our maintenance package includes updates for cookie compliance to ensure your website adheres to the latest regulations and best practices.
Does my website project include web copy?
Website projects will not include web copy as standard, and Particular Agency’s Product team will ask if assistance with this will be useful for you. If so, this will be included in your proposal offer. Some clients know from start to finish what they would like to say on their website, down to the last letter. Others aren’t so fussed, or would like assistance saying the right things. Both scenarios are fine for the Particular Agency Design team to work with.
What will my website’s site speed be like?
We optimise all our websites for speed by implementing best practices such as image optimisation, minification of scripts, and leveraging browser caching. While the exact site speed can vary based on hosting, content, and user location, we aim for your site to be as fast as possible and score well on speed test tools.
Are there ways that you can ensure my website’s speed is optimal? Do you offer website speed optimisation as a service?
Speed optimisation involves strategic work in the development of your website. Moving towards a website that’s responsive and fast can look like any of the following:Compress Images, Enabling Browser Caching, Minimising HTTP Requests, Using Content Delivery Networks (CDNs), Optimising Code, Reducing Server Response Time, Eliminating Render-Blocking JavaScript, Content Delivery Optimisation, Monitoring Performance, Regularly Updating Software and Implementing SSL Encryption.The above can all be offered as a part of our Web Design & Development service.

The short answer is, yes. We use your completed website brief, which is designed to gauge the full scope of your project, to then prepare your proposal. Your proposal is the written document confirming Particular Agency’s acceptance of the brief and openness to work on the project.
